What a great hike! On the drive up the weather was very overcast and foggy, but close to the Icehouse Canyon Trailhead we popped up above the clouds and had nothing but clear sky. The view from the summit looked like an endless sea of clouds, so beautiful! It was also cool seeing other peaks in the distance once you were higher up (hi Baldy!) Weirdly there were a lot of wasps at the top that were attracted to my bright sun gloves and windbreaker, but other than that it was a perfect hike. I can't wait to go back—there are so many options for hikes in this area!
