South Sister- It Takes A Team!

I hiked South Sister with my husband, daughter, and brother. I titled this “It Takes a Team” because I really appreciated all their help and encouragement! This was one of the most difficult hikes I have ever done.

My brother has hiked South Sister twice before and we really appreciated him showing us the way. The weather was nice for a hike, not overly hot but a little windy and cool at top. We were happy to have jackets and hats .

I have not done anything involving bouldering and skree in my adult life, it was quite an adventure. I feel very proud to have accomplished this! The views and sights at the summit were amazing! I love looking at the pictures and seeing what I call the “heart shape glacier” get closer and closer until we are right there!
