Cold, cloudy, quiet start to my hike and only two cars in the parking lot. It was cold enough that the bugs weren’t too bad at the start although the last 2.5 miles were much worse (still not as bad as on Wilson Mountain two weeks ago). The air felt and smelled like fall and I could see a few leaves starting to turn. The trail is so beautiful I can’t believe I hasn’t hiked it before. I’m so glad I did now. ?
