I got an early 06:30 start, there was just enough light not to need a headlamp. I knew it was going to be a long day, and with little excersise lately, I took it slow. I made a short stop at the saddle for a snack to keep me going and proceeded onto Cucamonga. I knew I'd make the first peak while hoping I'd feel okay to do the rest. Well, I felt great and tackled going up the steep side of Bighorn. There is very little trail to guide you and you're going straight up the ridge to the top. Finally made it to the top a d made the downhill towards Ontario. After you come town to the saddle between Bighorn and Ontario, it's a moderately easy trek to get to Ontario Peak. I left the peak at 14:00 and made it back to the lot at 16:25. I took 3L of water, 2 16oz bottles for NUUN tabs and a Gatorade. For this time of year it was the perfect amount. 7.5hrs moving and 10hrs combined.
