It had been too long since I was last out on the trail so I picked a familiar one. The day before a storm system travelled through the area so I was a little concern about the conditions. It was a perfect day. Started at 6:30am from Manker Flats and there was only one other car at the trailhead. I passed up the one person who was already on the trail and made it to the top in 3.5 hours, I believe I was the first on top that day. There was no strong wind and the temps were in the 50s.
It is easy to lose the trail after the ski hut going across the boulder field. Then again on the way up to Baldy Saddle the trail branches all over the place. Then again along the bowl ridge the trail branches into many trails. You just have to pick your poison and keep heading up.
