I wanted to do this hike on Sunday the 26th but unfortunately woke up to a flat tire and that took up most of the start of the day. Instead I took the day off work on Monday and made the trip out to Sitton. It was the perfect weather to hike in, very cool and overcast. At some points it became pretty foggy, and on more than one occasion I was able to watch the fog slowly roll in on the trail. This was a fairly straightforward hike, with a nice ascent in the beginning, a long stretch of relatively flat trail in the middle and a very steep section at the last 1/4 mile to the top. When I got to the peak, there wasn't too grand of the view because of the fog/overcast but it was nice to have made it nonetheless! Hung out at the top and had some lunch while chatting with another hiker who had just finished as well. After ample time at the peak I made my way back down and actually jogged at certain parts of the trail. Made it up and down in almost exactly 3 hours, burned a decent amount of calories as well! Got a drink at the candy store before heading back home to rest and celebrate with Coors Banquet!
