This hike was a long but good one. We started at Oak Grove Trail and then hiked all the way up to the High Point Lookout tower. I think we began around 11 am and were done around 5:20. There was 3 of us that hiked it and we didn’t see anyone else except the ranger who was in the lookout tower, who was nice and said hello to us. Right now there are some beautiful fall colors on the top of the hike, really feels like fall up there. It was cool to see Palomar Observatory across the way. All trails map said this hike was 13miles but we clocked 16 miles. It was the longest hike any of us have ever done, and we all are so glad we did it.
