We started the day pretty early at 5:00 am and drove to the icehouse canyon trailhead for baldy. My group of scouts and I were ready to take on one of the steepest hikes that we have done so far. We hiked to the green hut and had lunch, after that we made it to the top. We hung out there for about 30 minutes and headed down devils backbone. One of the scouts did not like steep drops, so we helped him through it. Once we made it down to the ski lodge we tried to get some food, but they did not have any. We rode the lift down and hiked the short distance to the cars. We loaded up, stopped by a fast food place, and headed home.
