  1. Not sure how to edit the hike log, but I wanted to add more to more to my log as when I did it through the app on my phone, it didn’t post.
    The 10 miles of dirt road to the trail is definitely recommend for 4×4 / AWD. There is a lot of sand and some of it is pretty deep. There are also several washes to navigate. Take it slow and easy. It took me about 40-45 minutes to reach the trailhead parking area once I left the pavement.

    The hike is a steady climb that is legit and takes much longer than anticipated. The trail is pretty rocky in some places, no shade to speak of and there is some scrambling over boulders in some places. It was windy in some spots, 40-50 mph gusts.
