Thought I’d start my year out with the Freemont Saddle…weather was so nice we decided to get a few extra miles in and made it a loop. After reaching the Saddle, we hiked down the canyon to the Needle Cross-cut to the Terapin trail. From there we passed by Old Hammer Head on down to the Bluff Springs Trail to the parking lot. It gave us a nice 8+ miles and a 2000′ gain.
