The trail conditions were clean, but there were a few logs on the trail that led directly to Cucamonga Peak. They are passable, however; some logs may be slightly rough to go over/under, but they are not a major problem. The weather is cold from about 2/3 to the way to the peak. A windbreaker or some sort of jacket is necessary – gloves are also recommended. The trail is moderate, and there are spots for shade during the hike.
