The 6th peak for my challenge is complete. The first time I tried to stay the night the road was closed due to construction and I thought I’d never get through to hiking this trail but finally I looked up the construction and due to Thanksgiving there would be no lock up! Thank goodness.

I got to the trailhead around 5:30am and it was about 40 degrees. I stayed in my car for a little bit and then headed on the trail around 6:17am. It was a little better but I still enjoyed hiking in the chill weather.

the trail was easy to navigate and had no problems. Once you hit the last section of the trail it gets moderate. It was a little boring for my taste but once I got up to the summit and looked out, it was breathtaking.

Spent a good 20 minutes at the peak snacking and took a 5 minute cat nap. It was so quiet on the peak. I loved every second of it.

went back down and saw only about 1 group and 2 single hikers on the trail. It was a great pre day Thanksgiving hike!
