Mount Baldy

I went into this hike knowing what I was getting into, but even Devil’s Backbone couldn’t save it for me. If you like spending hours hiking nothing but an endless incline + decline for a pretty view (without much else to offer, in my opinion) then this is the trek for you. This hike is very unforgiving. It’s an endless trudge of a loop from start to finish. I always enjoy a challenge but this is one that I couldn’t wait to finish.

Comparatively I’d much rather have hiked Mt San Gorgonio again as I find that varying terrain to have been far more enjoyable.
