My first time in Superstition mountains, beautiful hike, moderate – that is the Fremont Saddle part. On top, you can take pictures with the Weaver's Needle in background. Hiked this with my Grand Canyon group friends, we decided to add Dacite Cliffs Mine – we found the trail on top but then lost it, if you attempt this (we were warned and prepared for poorly marked and traveled trail) – make sure you keep right right right, you gotta get down into that crevace.
Well, we missed it and went down through the wilderness, pretty much – adventure for sure for #1 on the series !!!
We found the trail again lower, a hiker come up on it, so this would be fun to do the other way, so start clock wise on Dacite and go up to Fredom Saddle, then down that way, into Peralta Canyon. The rock formations and views are wonderful !
We did not do the small detour in end to find cliffs, too exhausted from the scrambling down through boulders, rocks, cactii and shrubs;)
