As usual, I forgot to log this hike when I did it, 4 weeks ago. It is a very nicely maintained trail, with one of the the most even elevation profiles I've experienced. Pretty much the entire has the same steepness, and it doesn't get harder towards the end (or easier for that matter). Just pace yourself, and you will get to the summit eventually. Most of the trail is in a forest setting, so there is always some shade. The last part is close to the tree line, and somewhat barren. On the ridge that eventually leads to the summit there is a lone Bristlecone Pine (at least it looks like one to me).
For me it was a pretty uneventful hike, but it was relatively busy and I ran at least into a hundred people on the trail. Really nice views from the top!
