Wilderness and wildlife!

This is a very beautiful hike! While you don’t summit a peak the trail slowly rises and as you get higher into the canyon the views continue to become more and more spectacular. I even had a large elk jump onto the trail in front of me! The day I hiked this trail was not crowded and I only saw about 2 other groups. The road leading to trailhead is not paved but I believe it is easy enough for almost all car types to pass.
