This was my first hike of the year in the Six Pack of Peaks Challenge for 2021 – March 1, 2021. There was still a lot of snow above the saddle. I felt I was probably the only person who went up that day besides maybe seeing 1 or 2 people coming down when I went up. There was some footsteps in the snow and it helped in following them to get to the summit but the most handy tool I carry for these type of hikes is a preloaded map in AllTrails App on my iPhone to make sure I don’t get lost. It is also a good idea to carry an extra battery pack and cable to charge your phone in case your battery starts to die. But what can I say about this hike. It took me longer than I expected because I did not expect so much snow but who can complain with such beauty the snow creates. Please enjoy some of my pictures from this hike.
