I'm gonna be honest, this hike was the most exhausting one we have done so far, and we decided not to do Ontario Peak because of this one, haha! The best part of this hike is in the beginning while in all the trees and close to the creek. This part is really beautiful and there are remnants of old houses and a bunch of stone chimneys all throughout the woods! It was really fun looking for them all! After the wooded part, the switchbacks seemed to never end, and each one was so long leading up to the saddle. After the saddle, the trail again seemed to go on forever. My man got sick a few times on this one, but he pushed through to the peak after a nice snack at the saddle. The shale rocks weren't the nicest footing, but it would have been a great place to see some big horn sheep! It was great getting to the peak and enjoying some time there before heading back down. Not sure if it was the altitude or what, but this hike seemed much more difficult than it should have been!!
