This trail is absolutely gorgeous. Never fails to blow me away.
I had an Achilles injury on this hike from coming down high point earlier in the day, so I was in quite a bit of pain (that really started to show itself once we hit the snow fields) I decided to keep pushing to the summit and I’m glad I did. (I am feeling better today with rest)
there is quite a bit of snow on this hike still and the actual rock summit it hard to get to due to the snow and downed branches.
there were plenty of people summiting to the tower without spikes, but I found them to be a much easier option due to some pretty slippery ice spots. I can’t imagine not having them to get to the real summit rock either.
summit picture is Kayla (one of my hiking partners) and I with the summit rock in the background
