Hiked with my husband and son on a Friday. At the trailhead by about 10 am and didn’t see anyone until near the summit. For a cool, winter day it was really warm on the way up with little to no shade. At the summit it was windy and cold so lots of layers coming on and off during the hike. My heart got pumping on the uphill, but nothing too strenuous and the way back down was easy (we took the 5 Oaks Trail on the way back). The views from the top were beautiful and a clear day so we saw a lot! Rewarded ourselves with pizza and beer in Julian after the hike! Really great getaway for a few hours and back home on the coast by 3 pm:)
