Welkommen this hike was pretty much pure fun.
We had climbed it before and all recalled a long accent of steep and slippery rock scrambles. That was our first run.
This particular climb round two, was either a testament to how bad my altitude sickness had been or, and more likely, we are all just studs after cucamunga because this hike was a no break breeze. The stops we made were to strip layers or add based on conditions. The day was beautiful.
The top we breaker briefly for mandatory photo and some snacks, changed out if wet shirt for me (stay dry even if it isn’t sub freezing) and relaxed. Brief though it was we beat feet down the slope in record time. I was pretty sure at this time my ladies mother was trying to leave me behind so of course I doggedly kept up.
Overall I had a blast, we all did. Some cool views and just general nice climbing. Hunters were out, if you’re not a fan or are worried about that be aware of hunting season in fall.
