Great weather for this hike. My friend and I started on the trail around 7 am, but got turned around and started the hike (again) around 8. Don't make the same mistake we did… when you get to the base of the Lawlor Peak, go to the left of the rock scramble, there will be a wooden sign with an arrow pointing here, so I don't know how we missed it and ended up going along the ridge headed towards the highway thinking it looped around and started descending to the point where we knew we had to continue going down and restart the hike. Other than that, the hike was great. Very moderate until you get to the fork where you can choose to go to Strawberry Peak or Strawberry Meadow, once you choose the trail headed toward the peak it gets pretty steep and there is a lot of scrambling. We were the only ones out there. Pick a cool day with little sunshine to do this hike, there is no shade or any sources of water, so conserve your water. This is a good hike if you want something short but challenging.
