Very challenging (due to length) but rewarding hike. The first 1.5 miles or so on Oak Grove trail were pretty steep and rocky. The remaining hike was on fire roads which allowed for easier walking and viewing of the great scenery. Weather was in the 60's at the base and 4o's with fog at the summit. Glad we chose not to due this hike when hotter. Total length ended up at 12.5 mi and we were able to complete it in 4:45 hours. Very rewarding and I'm looking forward to the remaining peaks of this challenge.
