Damn those first 2 miles!!! A lot of people comment about having to hike a fire road, I didn't mind it. Once you tackle those first 2 miles the trees swallow you up and the scenery is gorgeous! There were several trees down along the way but nothing blocked the trail. A few patches of snow still remain but it's off the trail, just pretty to look at. The ladder & ropes to climb the rock at the summit can be tricky when you come back down! There's a GEO marker and a peak sign at the top of the rock, so it's worth the climb!
