Beautiful 3.5 hour hike for a clear Southern California day.
Round trip was 7.3 miles starting from the parking lot at Red Box Picnic Area just across on the Highway 2.
Windy morning meant the view was clear all the way to Catalina Island.
Trail was in excellent condition, but the last mile or so was quite steep.
At the top, we were rewarded with an amazing view and open space to sit and enjoy some trail mixes.
Encountered more people on the way down as more people (and dogs) hit the trail later in the morning.
