This was our first peak of the Six-Pack Peak Challenge and definitely a great one to start off with. Overall the hike is not overly strenuous, however the last ~1.5 miles is certainly the hardest part! We thought we had reached the peak three times, only to realize we had a little farther and a little higher to go. The trail was not overly crowded and we got to pet more than a few beautiful doggos. While the trail doesn't always have clear markings it is fairly easy to see where others have gone before and most “diversions” still meet back on the main trail. The trek there and back took my wife and I about 3hr 45 min to complete, including a pit stop to refuel for lunch at the peak. Great day, great hike, great views!
