Started around 9am about an half mile below the Chantry Flats parking lot with my Doberman. Weather was very humid and hot at the top. Saw deer, an angry rattlesnake, squirrels and tons of birds. Logged a total of 15.2 miles and next time will take my hiking boots instead of trail shoes. Trail was very dirty with lots of loose leaves and dirt on the way to the observatory. Took us a little over 9 hours to complete.
