Arrived at 5:45AM on a Saturday and there was only street parking. Nearby Mt. Wilson Trail Park has one restroom with flush toilets and a sink. Temperature was 55F when I started and 85F when I finished. My group started the hike at 6:20am and we finished at 12pm, which includes a 10 min break at the top. First 2 miles are completely exposed, then it’s a good amount of shade to the top. Clean flush toilets at the summit and today the Cosmic Cafe was closed. Trail is well maintained, with the exception of 2 downed trees. Steady climb all the way to the summit, making it a great booty workout. Minimal bugs today, but I imagine they’ll be more once the temps increase.
