What a chilly hike! There's only parking on the side of the road for the trailhead, there is no parking lot here. It was chilly (40's) for almost the entire hike, with a 25 degree wind chill at the peak. A fairly easy hike, a gradual ascent the whole way. The only difficult, if any, was the condition of the trail itself. There was mud, snow, and ice. Around 90% of the hike was in the snow. Once we got closer to the peak, the views were amazing. There were a few view points where you can see all of the mountains (as far as Mt. San Jacinto!). Overall it was a pleasant hike. Not too much foot traffic either. We reached the top in around 1 hour and made it back to the car in 49 minutes. As far as gear goes, we had only trail runners and our hydration packs. No trekking poles or micro spikes were needed.
