Island on a sea of clouds

At this time of the year, there was still some snow at the last half mile or so. We didn't need microspikes, but they would have made it easier.
The peak was very crowded that day. The hike down was a bit if a traffic jam. However, the scenery is wonderful on the way up. We had cloud cover at the peak which gave the effect of being on an island. Santiago looked like it was another island.
