Trail conditions were great. Weather was good…cool and crisp in the morning. It warmed up early but there was a slight breeze throughout the day that kept the temperature fairly pleasant. Would be a great trail for a sunny but cold winter day though! The trail is pretty mellow until the last 1/4 mile…steep and loose in some places. It was an interesting summit hike for me…not typical of climbing a peak. I was exactly 2 hours from trailhead to summit…and from summit to trailhead 1:55. Only a 5 minute difference between up and back. The rolling ups/downs of the first 3 miles balance out in both directions, and the summit push is slow in both directions too.

Overall a great trail and a great setting. I would definitely hike it again.
