Well I had to work this morning so I though let’s just go and scout out this trail. I started off at 12:30 and was going to just go until I ran into a group that I knew had started at 6 am. Quickly I saw a shirt little Peak to climb just for fun. It had a few big boulders to climb and feel like I was king of the hill ;). After that it was back to the trail where I ran into several hikers on ther way down at about 2-1/2 miles in. Nope not the groups I was looking for but great people to talk with. The last hikers I saw had mentioned they knew the group I was looking for. Awesome I thought. I continue, just enjoying the beautiful wilderness. At about 1.6 miles from the summit I ran into them. Yes it was too close to the top to stop now. So hungry and thirsty I continue. I didn’t bro h the supplies necessary to complete this trail but I upward and onward. I get closer and it starts to hit me. Attitude lighthearted exhaustion. Yes because I hadn’t eaten lunch and didn’t bring food I was getting a touch of altitude troubles. I laughed at myself and continued up where I ran into a beautiful little deer. Then made it to the summit at 5pm I toasted Nicole and Dave for the 20th Anniversary talk to a few awesome Hikers found out they were doing the Six Pack of Peaks then continued Don’t hill. Saw a beautiful sunset on the way to the trailhead
