It was a beautiful day! We hiked pretty much the suggested route. We did mix it up a bit. We did Mitchell Rock trail to Eagle Peak trail. When we cane to Prospectors Gap Road junction, there were a very large group of trail runner’s. We didn’t want to deal with the constant pulling over and all the people so we gave up 150’ of elevation gain and went Bald Ridge trail. We took that to North Peak trail to Summit trail. I have summited Mt. Diablo twice before. Though I did it by way of Mitchell Canyon Road (fore road). That way is much easier than the way we went today. This way kicked our butt’s! The wildflower’s are so pretty. I am sure in 2 week's there will be even more. When we reached the summit, we took our obligatory picture’s. Not 5 minute’s after we did the fog rolled in thick and you couldn’t see anything. It quickly became windy and cold. It was a great hike!
