Good morning! Started the hike a bit before the preserve “openend”. Didn't realize it's closed until 8am. There was others ahead of us. Weather was perfect. A bit cold at first, then hot, then high winds – so cold, but finally warm. We took the path to the summit and not five oaks trail on the way up, and five oaks on the way down. The views are beautiful throughout the trail. The wind blowing through the trees felt really nice. It was my first hike of the challenge and I was a bit intimidated going in. In all it was fairly easy, with some inclines. Excited for the hikes to come 🙂
