For my third hike to Sitton Peak in as many years, I wanted to go at it alone (or solo). While I’ve greatly enjoyed going with friends in the past, I’m currently looking to focus on my own strengths and weaknesses as not only a hiker, but an active person as well.
I was able to complete the loop in just about 4 hours total. Keep in mind that I was not trail running, so I was definitely impressed by this fairly quick pace. The temperature was on the warmer side today, and starting so late in the morning did not help matters. That said, this trail is essentially a moderate hike with a very strenuous last quarter-mile. I seem to continually remember it as easier than it actually is. The views from the summit are a terrific reward though.
