Beautiful hike went early to escape the sun and heat with pup. The hike was a pretty one, with views for many parts of it. My garmin logged 9.8 miles road trip I took the bear ridge on the way up and the canyon trail on the way back. It was wonderful for the views and the breeze was cool on the ridge. The last .36 up was pretty steep as reported by other hikers. Going up was ok but coming down it would have helped to have poles or something to help. Met a lot of kind pleasant hikers on the way up and down. Recommend plenty of water and a light jacket for the top.
