45F at 8am today. Not many people on this particular trail. No bathrooms. Snow starts around mile 3.5 and the last 1.5 miles to the peak is a challenge because you can’t see the trail at all. It was a slow and frustrating journey to the top because of the snow and ice. Took me 8 hours to go 12.75 miles. Microspikes helped a lot and I wish I had brought poles for the descent.would much rather complete this trail without the snow and ice.
