Started around 6:30am and it was very foggy out. Took an extra mile off the track but got back on the correct trail. Glad for it being foggy as there is minimal shade on the ascent. Very rocky and not very scenic. Took about four hours to get to the peak and it feels like you will never get to the top. There are picnic benches so you can enjoy a snack or lunch before you descend back to the beginning. Be sure to be aware of landmarks so you don't get detoured off the trail. We encountered two off road vehicles on the trail.
Total time on this hike was eight hours. Going down was harder and just seemed endless. This hike is brutal and would only attempt on a cool and cloudy day.
