After reading other logs that this hike is rather wimpy, I decided to hike this one as the conclusion to my six-pack challenge (but definitely not my last hike, I'll be hiking San Gorgonio later this month). I brought my mom and dog along for the hike, as it is more their speed.
After a nearly 2h drive to the trailhead, we started hiking around 9:30a. We were able to reach the Mt. Pinos summit in well under an hour with very little strain (the incline is very slight, proving this trail to be very wimpy indeed). The scenery along the trail was great, allowing us to stop for plenty of photos, since we weren't too strained on this hike. We returned back to our car by 11a, making this a very lax 1.5h hike. This was a very pleasant hike, but probably shouldn't count as a six-pack.
