beautiful saturday. started around 8 30 am finished a little before 330. hiked all of it instead trying to run part of it, pretty easy to find the trail heads. just make sure you look at map before hand. visitor center was nice and not too crowded. you can also drive to the top so the last half to reach the top there are a lot more people around. climb down was far easier than up- but worth the views for sure 🙂 there is water at juniper camp ground (about 2ish miles from the top) and again at the peak. didn't see very much wildlife other than 2 deer at the very beginning gate, and one garden snake on the way down. lots of dragonflies tho, which was great. will definetly have to come back and explore some of the other trails, came across a fellow hiker (did not catch his name) and he apparently hikes there every weekend and has for several years now so he knew the place like the back of his hand and was super excited to point landmarks out on the horizon. saturday well spent to say the least!
