The trail is really well maintained, there were a lot of volunteers out on the day of our hike. However, there is still an abundance of poison oak along the trail and it's good to keep bug spray on you because the mosquitos are out. The blooms are beautiful though with wild mountain lilac, sweet pea blossoms, periwinkles, and purple sage everywhere. There's water re-fill stations at the top which was a godsend. Definitely didn't need the additional layers we packed for the elevation, it was very bright and warm up there.
