Early start, 6:30am.  Took me 2:20 to summit……not a quick hiker but enjoyed the sights!  Nice cool morning and mostly shade into the first canyon.  Very nice trail, blazes were spaced out very well and were in nice locations when the trail seemed to be lost or could go in several directions.  LOTS of rock scaling, had to pack up the poles occasionally since they were more of a hinder at rock climbing times.  Absolutely stunning views the entire hike!!  What you read about false summits is quite true, several!!

Quite a number of hikers starting when I was in the last mile, too hot for me!  Last hike with my old boots, feet were screaming at me upon return to the car….got a new pair today at REI.  Ready for the next 5 peaks!!
