Our first hike on our second trip to Northern California to finish the 6-POP.
The drive to the trailhead was as scenic as Mt Sizer. It was an easy, sunny and lucky day hike. Lucky as in, I saw my group, all three of them walked past a snake that was in the middle of the trail. As a veteran, the history of the Lighthouse in Mt Diablo meant a lot and someday would love to witness the once-a-year beacon lighting ceremony commemorating Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on Dec. 7.
