Hello Bonanza

The back trail towards  Bonanza is more forgiving and less strenuous but still very challenging.  The trailhead is only accessible with an all wheel drive or truck through a gravel road that leads up to the trailhead.  The start begins right at the parking lot.  The trail is dog friendly and lots of blooming flowers.  Much cooler than Turtlehead Peak with pine trees providing shade throughout the trail all the way towards the peak.  Lots of switchbacks and the last half a mile make sure you look for the two rock beacons that leads to the trail peak.
