Pretty windy at the bottom (which makes sense because it's a gap) and at the top (which makes sense 'cause it's a peak!). This was one of my favorite hikes yet. Perfect to bring along a trusty canine companion (my dog had a blast, with the exception of the ranger we met that warned us of an unleashed dog being carried off by a mountain lion). 8.4 miles, 3:45. Fun to see actual Boy Scouts doing the “Boy Scout Mountain” trail. Super-clear day for beautiful views from the Wally Waldron tree and at the peak (so, thank you wind!). Will be doing this hike again!
