I came down Gorgonio last year after hiking up Bernardino and backpacking one night, “riding the ridge” over to Gorgonio. (That is a lie by the way, there was no riding of any ridges. There was a lot of climbing and false peaks). This year I am hiking Mt Whitney so I figured the only way to train would be to hike this beast. We did it in 10:29. There were strong winds two miles to the summit. The views up there are amazing, but I vow to never hike this mountain again.
