We got to the trailhead at about 7:15am after making a bathroom stop at Vincent Gap. There wasn't a problem getting parking at that time during the week. You need an Adventure Pass to display in your vehicle, but no hiking permit is required. It was hot. It was buggy. The lack of my normal training definitely showed today. The elevation made this rough for me as well. So many stops. Took us waaaay longer than I thought it would- we definitely didn't break any speed records- but we finished it. I loved seeing the other peaks- Baldy, Cucamonga, Ontario, San Jacinto, Santiago- while hiking and while at the top. At 9,406 ft, Baden Powell is the second highest peak in the San Gabriel range.
