Since the fires were still blocking access to most trails, we decided to do San Jacinto again. We needed the practice at elevation. To get the practice at distance, we started at Deer Springs just outside of town. This time we also planned out visit so that we could enjoy the town more before the hike. We even me Max, the Mayor of Iydllwild.
