Rattlesnake Dodging on Strawberry Peak

Hot and sunny!  A bit of a nerve-wracking start, as we started up the trail, ran into multiple groups of hikers who reported that they turned back just 5 minutes into the hike due to a big rattlesnake partly blocking the narrow trail.  We debated a bit then decided to go forward (slowly, and making a lot of noise with our feet) and see if we could see the snake or another way around it.  Made it through with no snake sighting and continued on to the summit!  We were warned about the false peaks and still had a few “are we there yet?” moments as it got steeper towards the top.  Took us about 4 hours round trip.  Fun and great hike!
