It was a beautiful day for a hike. We did a longer loop going directly to Bear Mountain first and then proceeding to Round Mountain, Frizzle Mountain, and then Brace Mountain.

It was approximately 11.7 miles total with most of the accent in the first six miles. If I were doing the short six mile loop I would probably go counter clockwise since the steep rocky section to Bear Mountain to me would be easier climbing then it was going down.

The trail to the other peaks were easy to follow but not as wide. The balds on brace would be easy to get turned around if you aren’t using an AllTrails map that is downloaded.

The views were great and there were multiple state border markers and a tri-state marker along this route.
